It took us many hours from Berau city to Biduk Biduk for Labuan Cermin visit. Although there was a sharing/warning of crocodiles in the lake and we couldn’t swim. The Labuan Cermin lake wowed me by its crystal clear blue color. The place has enough facilities for guests to play a whole day, however, due to the spread of information that crocodiles came from the river into the lake, it’s closed for safety reasons, and no one take care of this place. I feel so sorry as this wonderful place has been neglected and destroyed themselves day by day. Even though we couldn’t swim, I spent all day and exploring the trail there. Surprisingly, it’s really nice trail connecting many small lakes with the crystal blue water along the way. There weren’t guests except two of us. I am really not sure whether the crocodiles still in the lake or not, but we could see fish swimming freely and gather when we made some noises under the water. Some locals told us no crocodiles anymore but some made the dramatic rumors. Such a great waste of money and natural resources if the authorities/government/operators don’t take actions and left this problem unsolved. To me, Labuan Cermin lake is a gem , a blue green pearl and I hope this pearl will bright and shine again. Love you Labuan Cermin and Biduk biduk. Great place with...

Clear water combined with natural view....
