17 Islands National Park is a marine park in Indonesia, located on the north coast of Flores Island. It is home to 17 islands, as well as a number of other smaller islets and reefs. The park is known for its beautiful beaches, clear waters, and diverse marine life.

The islands in the park are all relatively small, with the largest being only a few kilometers long. They are made up of volcanic rock and are covered in lush tropical vegetation. The beaches are lined with white sand and the waters are teeming with coral reefs and marine life.

The park is a popular destination for snorkeling, diving, and swimming. There are also a number of hiking trails that lead to the tops of the islands, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area.

If you are looking for a relaxing and beautiful place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, 17 Islands National Park is the perfect destination for you.

Here are some of the things you can do in 17 Islands National Park:

• Snorkel or dive and explore the vibrant coral reefs and marine life. • Hike to the tops of the islands and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area. • Relax on the white-sand beaches and soak up the sun. • Go swimming in the clear waters. • Take a boat trip to explore the different islands. • Visit the local village and learn about the culture of the people who live there.

17 Islands National Park is a beautiful and remote destination, and as such, it can be expensive to explore. One of the main reasons for this is the cost of renting a boat.

Boat rentals in 17 Islands National Park can range from $50 to $200 per day, depending on the size of the boat and the length of the rental. This can make it difficult for budget travelers to afford to explore the park.

There are a few things you can do to reduce the cost of renting a boat in 17 Islands National Park:

• Rent a smaller boat. Smaller boats are typically less expensive to rent than larger boats. • Rent a boat for a shorter period of time. If you only plan to explore the park for a day or two, you can save money by renting a boat for a shorter period of time. • Consider sharing a boat with other travelers. This is a great way to split the cost of the boat rental and make the trip more affordable. • Even if you take these steps to reduce the cost, renting a boat can still be a significant expense. If you are on a tight budget, you may want to consider other ways to explore 17 Islands National Park, such as hiking or taking a boat tour.

Here are some tips for exploring 17 Islands National Park without renting a boat:

• Ask around for local guides. There are many local guides in the area who can take you on tours of the park for a reasonable price. • Take a boat tour. There are a number of boat tours that leave from the mainland and take visitors to the islands. This is a great option if you want to see the park but don't want to deal with the hassle of renting a boat. • Hike to the tops of the islands. There are a number of hiking trails that lead to the tops of the islands, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area. • Relax on the beaches. The beaches in 17 Islands National Park are some of the most beautiful in the world. Spend some time soaking up the sun and enjoying the scenery.

Even if you don't rent a boat, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy 17 Islands National Park. With a little planning, you can have a great time exploring this beautiful destination without breaking the bank.

Riung 17 Islands, wonderful islands located at Riung District on the northern side of Ngada Regency. Here we are able to sail around many islands that offers a very beautiful natural panoramic view of white-sand beaches with pristine turqoise sea and preserved coral garden surrounding it. Also, we can enjoy both sunrise & sunset moment at the time we sail on the ocean going to and from the main destination.

We can reach there around 8 hours consist of: -2 hours drive from Bajawa the capital city of Ngada Regency via Bajawa - Riung St. -6 hours from morning to evening to sail across the main destination, which include 15-30 minutes to reach any of those attractive islands and 1 hour spend on any of those attractive islands (usually 4 islands).

There are some housing which designed to be homestays on Nangamese Village of Riung Regency because it is where the port for depart to the main destination is located. Amenities such as "warung" / "kios" which provides daily needs and other supporting infrastructure like water, electricity, internet are available all around this village, but they are not available around the main destination.

*FYI: The good news is that Ngadanese government has already seen Riung 17 Islands as one of the most potential tourism attraction in Ngada Regency, so recently they are still in the process to compose and realize Riung 17 Islands Integrated Tourism...

Riung, or Pulau Tujuhbelas, is a small fishing village on the northeast of Flores Island in Indonesia. It’s a 5-hour drive from either Bajawa or Ende. I recomemded all tourism to add this place on your schedule. Despite the name, 17 Islands Marine Park is made up of over 20 small islands. It is said that 17 Islands was named by the local people to commemorate Indonesian Independence Day which falls on 17 August. To get to Riung you’ll have to get to the island of Flores. The closest airport to Riung is the one in Bajawa, although you are more likely to find flights from other parts of Indonesia to Ende, Labuan Bajo or Maumere.Had a good time snorkeling, and chilling on the islands...the beach bbq'ed fish was awesome. Accomodation in Riung is poor value tough..stay in nearby Watulajar instead. It's about 20km east of Riung, and you'll find a set of wonderful beach bungalows: Eco Eden Bungalows....
