Air Terjun Mataru — Attraction in East Nusa Tenggara

Beautiful waterfall in a very beautiful part of Alor. The path down is quite difficult to negotiate especially during the rainy season when the track becomes muddy and slippery but the views of the waterfall and the chance to swim at the base of the falls make it worth the effort. But beware of thieves. I accepted the offer from one of the kids to help carry my rucksack and he managed to steal a substantial sum of money from my purse! Spoiled an otherwise...
