Lovely little home stay right on the beach. Only opened a year ago and we were stoked to find it as accommodation options have been so limited in Sumba for such a long time. Musa and his wife Reta are lovely, very caring and attentive. The bungalow is gorgeous (basic though) and bring a hammock and then you will be so happy! There is another little beach over the hill at the end of Kerewee beach that has a beautiful lagoon for swimming in. Great location. Price negotiable but be prepared to pay around Rp 300.000 per night including food. Also, no fridge so bring some cold beer if you want it! Read moreThis whole area has a special feel to it. The coconut plantation back off the beach gives that island feel and the local kids will always get you a fresh coconut to drink while there. It's Grey sand beach due to the river mouth at the east end of the beach near the mangroves. It's not the prettiest beach in Sumba or in the area but I've always enjoyed going there. Plus there's a 700 meter right handed out the front on a good day! Speak fishing is great literally off...
