Entry was IDR50.000 (USD3.50) for the whole car, but it was really worth it. It was a stunning white sandy beach and definetely one of the best beach I visited in Sumba Island. I love to play with the waves and this beach is perfect. The beach also has a very beautiful view and it became magical during sunset. If you want to take a rest from the waves, go up to the cliff and watch a mesmerizing view from there. If you are an adventurous type, you can walk the small path towards the other white sandy beach in the other side of the cliff, and it was also beautiful. Rumor said that the property belong to one foreigner that plan to build a private villa there but left before the project finish. So upon entry, you will need to pass the private-looking gate, and there wasnt any official ticket, only locals asking you to pay. From where you park your car, you can see an almost-finished, abandoned construction that shaped like a traditional house. When you got off the car, bunch of local kids will gather around you. They are probably curious, and they also want to sell you some stuff, or they want to help you take picture for money. But if you are not interested in any of that, they would still love to be around you,...

A narrow beach with white sands in between a huge reef on both side. A blue tosca water could really chill you out. Come early in the morning would be the best time as the wave is still calm. When in high-tide, the wave is so big and strong. So be careful when taking photos.
But there is a rumor told by local about this place. It is said that this was a private beach owned by a foreigner years ago. He bought it from a local and wanted to make a resort. A wooden restaurant has been built there. But at the end, there was problem and this place is being an abandoned property.
Anyway, just enjoy the beach. To see this gorgeous view you need to pay 50K for entrance and parking fee. When we visited, no children asking for money or food like other local guides said on their reviews. We could really explore the beach and took some pictures...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews about unfriendly villagers and kids, I was reluctant to visit here. However, I had a totally different experience. Yes, you have to pay 50k for parking for one motorbike which is a little expensive but when you see the beauty of this place, it’s really worth it. I also found the people to be extremely welcoming and friendly. Me and my partner spend a few hours here and by the end of it, we were playing with every child in the village. The adults also caught a huge batch of fresh fish and offered some to us. I think sometimes if you go to a place and act negatively, you will attract the same attitude back. The people of Sumba are extremely welcoming and I suggest you visit here with a big smile. You will be greeted with one back. I’ll never...
