This is Goa Jatijajar, a cave system in West Java, Indonesia. Used to hear this place from my geography lesson. The nearest cities are Purwokerto or Banyumas, roughly 40 minutes to 1 hour away depending on traffic. The road access to this place is awful, so many potholes, but the visit is quite worth it if you go past the taunting sellers along the path. The walk inside is around 1 hour from the entrance to the exit, so calculate your time.
The first chamber showcases stalactites hanging from the ceiling, formed by mineral deposits over centuries. The cave is illuminated with artificial lighting, highlighting the intricate textures and colors of the limestone walls. Visitors walked along the pathway with railings to ensure safe access for visitors so it's impossible to get lost here, as this is used to be a popular tourist destination. Still, watch your steps though as the place is perennially humid and wet, and the ground is slippery, so use suitable shoes and not flip flops. The dramatic lighting casts shadows that emphasize the natural beauty and geological complexity of this underground marvel, offering a fascinating glimpse into the subterranean world of West Java. A still running subterranean rivers can be viewed near the end of the path inside from Sendang Mawar (Rose Spring).
Despite the fact that this might be the better managed tourist destination in the area, unfortunately the place is very run down and barely maintained. Seems there's negligence from the local government and tourism bureau to improve the place and the facilities surrounding this tourist attraction. The place actually has potential to be a main tourist magnet if...

No chairs provided, only a matress on the ground, where you can lay down and enjoy the breeze that flows between the trees.
