Taman Edelweis Bali — Attraction in Kecamatan Rendang

We had just been to Besaki Temple and decided to come to Taman Edelweiss since we drove all this way. The difference was night and day. At the temple, all the vendors were quite aggressive. It's clear to see why: the pandemic has not been kind to the community.

Finding our way to Taman Edelweiss was not easy due to rain, road closures, and Google giving us one wrong turn, but when we got there, it was so worth it. The rain cleared, and we saw a double rainbow near the mountaintop! The people there are incredibly nice, too. My S.O. left her phone and charger in the restaurant, but the attendant ran out to the parking lot to give it back!

There's not much in terms of local dishes in the dining that I saw, but the prices were very cheap, about a third or less of what you'd find in Denpasar for the same meal, except the beer. The tickets are also cheap, and the rate is the same for locals and foreigners.

This place surrounded by the hill and located in a high land, you can see many trees, local farm other places same as taman edelweis (there are 2 more places with flower garden -edelweis and marigold). The employee was friendly and kind to help you. The enterance ticket was 15K/person (local) and 5K for the parking (car). Many spots are made for you to enjoy the view and take a photos. There are many "warung" near parking area with many choices of food like "tipat cantok" (traditional food), bakso (meatball) and fried rice. The jackfruit fried was really nice too. The price of the food was cheap. But there is a possibility of different price if you visit this place on a public holiday specially for the food. At the time when I visited this place, many people were working to clean the flower area, planting the new edelweis and build a gazebo for resting area. Edelweiss Park on the slopes of Mount Agung, precisely in Temukus Village, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency. The road to the park is slightly uphill because it is located near the mountain slopes. Apart from that, it is also narrow, so you have to be extra careful when using a car.
