This place is really cool and so naturally friendly. If you stay here and sleeping here, the situation feels like you live in village far from city. The atmosphere is natural.
Plus (+) things: Best place to stay to avoid your hectic routinity, change your modern daily live into rural live in small village. Blend with nature. The receptionist and staff are so well manner and friendly. This is Javanese culture I think. Their "unggah ungguh" is rarely found in my city LOL. NB: I met a couple of off-duty staff (seem that they wanna go home from this place) who still in parking area, they greet us and tell us bout our key is placed in lobby in the back. (not in main lobby). So many toys and equipment to play, I mean the unconventional one, the classic toys like Egrang, Dakon, Yoyo, Gatrik, etc. Classic Swimming pool (I think you could say this is man made lake) like the one that I found in my village when I was kid. So cool and nostalgic.
This place only minus, I mean they should take care bout these for perfection, IMHO (I supposedly give 5 stars, but they should pay attention bout this, that the reason I decrease 1 star) Check-in time take so long. I spend almost 30 minutes in the rain time, waiting my room availability despite I came here around 2pm. (normally check in after 1pm, everything is ready) The main gate is not real "main gate", it's confusing. When I went to Batu to spend my time I dropped my key on the real main gate, then I back to the same place, and unfortunately the key is placed in back door (near parking area) which is a bit far from the main gate. And they don't provide transportation between main gates. The room is not really ready for guest (at least for us). The warm water is not function firstly (until they repaired it), there was no slipper in day1, though they prepare it in 2nd day. The hanger is not available in room, so if you want to hang your clothes, it's futile.
Finally, I could say that I still...
Read moreIf you want Indonesian village vibes, this is the place. The enterance is easy to find, even its not located in the main road of Batu city.
You will have doubt when you enter this place, it looks like the place is small but once you expore, it is huge and you will easily get lost here.
They have a lot room to rent and in different sizes, even they have this family cottage style room. The bedroom is clean, the bathroom also. They provide no aircon but it not necessary because naturally Batu is quite cold. TV with cable also provided, but you will missed a lot of things if you spend watching TV.
In the back of the "hotel room" you will get this beautiful views of paddy fields and yes you can explore them. They also have fish pond and several open space "pendopo" you can sit on to enjoy the view, even have your meal served there. Just ask the hotel staff and they will gladly prepare your meal there.
They also have couple of pools, pool for children has the water heated. Very nice.
All the staff is friendly and nice. The food is excellent, no need to order from other restaurant and priced reasonably. For me their grilled fish and chicken is among the best.
I definitely will be back stay in this place while in...
Read moreThis place is actually comfy. But it’s not once there are group of people having an outbound activity early in the morning or even at night. This happened during my stays here, some people were having a party at night, i couldn’t sleep. The food is good. There’s no fan or air conditioner in the room, so it’s hot during the day, but don’t worry, it’s cold at night. Just make sure you’re not in the room in the afternoon. The bedsheets was a bit dusty and dirty, don’t even mention the towel. You better bring your own. There was a problems with the water heater, their staff was quick on fixing the problem. Meanwhile for the view, the best one is at the outside of the homestay, specifically at the back of the area. It’s a wonderful view of the city. This homestay isn’t gonna be my first choice, and I probably won’t ever come back. It’s a one...
