Batara Sriten Reservoir — Attraction in Nglipar

This place is so wonderful! Located at the highest place in Gunungkidul regency, this is the highest water reservoir in Jogja. While at the location there is a good and large enough parking area, the track to reach this place is more challenging. For about 5 kilometres the road almost broken, slippery, and steep. Need skillful driver to go through. Even through new build track about half kilometres from the retribution gate to the location also hard enough. Better if using 4x4 vehicles to pass ... Although the peoples live there looks easy to pass through the track.

But after reach the location the pain on the way is paid. Although no fish to see in the reservoir, but the scenery very very wonderful.

At the location there is a small water reservoir in a hill garden, a "pendopo" (Javanese meeting hall), large and good condition parking area, some cafes, clean rest rooms (with cool clean water). At the top there also a spot for paragliding activity. A walking track surrounds the area.

Its a nice and romantic place for refreshing. Even the hard way will add the feel of romantic. Whether in clear bright sky or cloudy days, day or night, it worthy to visit.

One of the best place I ever...

A very quite place to relieve your stressful life or if just want to spend your time alone. In order to go there, you have to go through steep and rocky road for about 3-5km. But after you got to the peak, you'll find a beautiful scenery. You will see no other place higher than this place, so if you turn around 360° you'll just see that everywhere is lower than your place. You can see Rawa Jombor in the north and pegunungan kidul at the other directions. There's also a tomb in the peak, I don't know whose tomb is that.

Make sure your vehicle is in good condition before you go there. It's recommended if you go there by using manual...

Akses kesana sudah bagus jalan beraspal dan ketika mulai nanjak jalan agak sempit tapi cor beton👍🏻pemandangan kanan kiri bagus semua,view sawah,pohon kelapa juga beberapa rumah warga,kesitu kemarin hari Kamis tgl 3 Juni 2021 sore.baca2 di ulasan katanya embung tertinggi di Gunungkidul,beneran ini emang aseli duwurnya hahaha...dan sdh lmyn berkabut.smp di pintu masuk,mungkin Krn pas hari biasa dan sdh sore,tdk ad ptgs yg jaga tiket🥳 trs smp di parkiran,hny nmpak bbrp pngunjung jd sepi dan syahdu, Alhamdulillah msh ad satu dua warung yg buka,lmyn bs mkn mie sm psn minuman.ad mushola jg kmr mandi(syg mushola krg terawat dan pintu kmr mnd jg rusak),di bbrp titik disediakan tempat cuci tangan,tp ad yg rusak(ga ngalir airnya).tempatny juga bersih,tdk nyampah👍🏻spot foto memang seadanya tdk sprti di t4 yg baru viral,tapi bagi sy yg memang tdk terlalu sk selfi,mau foto disitu di semua titik dengan background alam,Masya Allah sdh bgus bngt😍bisa liat sunset yg indah,Rowo Jombor Klaten jg terlihat,dan bukit bukit lain yg terlihat lbh rendah,pokokny disitu bgus bngt dah,sepadan dengan perjalananny.saran buat pengelola,mngkn pas di atas itu dikasi pagar gmn ya,skdr buat safety aplg buat pngunjung spt sy yg phobia ketinggian 😂😥trs mushola jg dirawat dan pintu kmr mnd diganti baru.ditmbhi bangku2 buat duduk di atas yg stlh pohon besar itu,jd bs buat rest.o iya,skdr info di pas di puncaknya ad sebuah makam,sy krg tau makam siapa,jd dimana tempat Qt wajib jaga sopan santun dan etika👍🏻 Monggo di agendakan sedulur semua,kalian harus coba 😁😍aseli indah bngtttt.maaf ya foto2 hasil jepretan sy yho...
