Bukit Lawang Ecotourism — Attraction in North Sumatra

The entry process was bad due to the presence of scammers at the entry ticket both the ticket fee was IDR 30,000 per person that was valid then there was IDR20,000 per vehicle fee That was official and a blue ticket was issued.

At the gate a guy on a motorcycle touted guide services and tells you have to have a guide

I understand that Is not true you can walk yourself unguided

The motor cycle man rides down behind your car and directs you to a guy who tries to force you to pay 35 euros per person he waves some laminated sheet at you claiming its official

I understand you can ignore that person

There are guides who will take IDR150,000 per person to nicely show you the trail up to see the Orangutans up in the forest and Thompson leaf monkeys.

They are wild but used to people some may be rehabbed
