Paisupok Lake
The full name is often written as Danau Paisu Pok Luk Panenteng, or simply “Paisupok.”
It is located in Lukpanenteng Village, North Bulagi District, Banggai Islands Regency, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia.
The lake is relatively small, with a depth of around 5–15 meters.
Its uniqueness lies in the crystal-clear water — you can clearly see the lake bottom, sunken logs, and underwater details.
As a hidden natural destination, the surrounding atmosphere is still peaceful and unspoiled.
How to Reach Paisupok Lake
Travel to Luwuk (Central Sulawesi)
Since the lake is on the Banggai Islands, the first step is to reach Luwuk City, Central Sulawesi.
You can fly to Luwuk Airport (LUW) from Makassar or other major cities (sometimes with a transit).
From Luwuk to Peleng Island (Banggai Islands)
Take a public ferry from the Luwuk People’s Port (Pelabuhan Rakyat Luwuk) to Leme Leme Port on Peleng Island.
The ferry ride takes about 2 hours, although schedules can be flexible or delayed.
Tickets are usually bought directly at the port.
Alternatively, you can hire a speedboat from Luwuk straight to Peleng or near the lake — the ride takes roughly 1 hour depending on sea conditions.
From Leme Leme Port to the Lake
After arriving at Leme Leme, it’s about 23 km to the lake.
You can rent a motorbike or car (or hire local transport) to reach Lukpanenteng Village.
Some road sections are rough, so expect about an hour’s ride.
From the parking area, there’s a short 5-minute walking trail leading to the lake.

Because the area is quite remote, accommodation options are limited and basic:
Local Homestays (Lukpanenteng Village) A few simple homestays are available near the lake. Facilities are basic — just a mattress, fan, and simple amenities. One of the motels in this village are Heppy Homestay.
Leme Leme Area If you’re taking the ferry, staying near Leme Leme Port is convenient. One known option is Novpitri Homestay etc.

Read moreThis place is as impressive as it looks in the photos, it is worth the trip from Luwuk to the island. The best way that you can do is to take the public ferry from Luwuk People's Port, cost 50k departs every day around 2pm and the trip last 2-2.5hs. You are going to arrive to Leme Leme Port, which is half an hour away from the lake and 20min away from Pogand Beach, an amazing place for snorkeling. The entry ticket is just 5k and you have toilet there, a small store where you can drink coffee or eat noodles and also you can rent a snorkel, mask, fins and lifejackets. Also, there are two small canoes that you can use to take pictures and tour the lake for 30k. This place is very well managed by Butros and his colleagues, he helped me a lot since before I arrived on the island and when I was there he gave me a tour of the lake and the beach. He also takes incredible photos underwater, you can see his work on his ig @butrosdelim Finally, he also recommended me a modest but very warm accommodation in Leme Leme village, Penginapan Novpitri, much more convenient than staying in Salakan. I highly recommend that you visit the island and the lake, it is beautiful and the locals work very hard to maintain...

As for Dec. 2018, the entry fee is IDR 5k/person. They also provide a boat (for 6-8 people) for rent and it costs IDR 10k. The restroom is available but there's no food stall/vendor around the lake.
The lake itself is simply stunning. The water is crystal clear for the most part of the lake. The lake floors are covered by sands, logs, and some plants. The deepest point might be around 10-ish meters. However, the water is kinda cold. Anyway, two thumbs up for people who manage this place, I'd say the area around the lake is clean.
Tips: The water is kinda cold, a wetsuit would help if you planning to swim/dive for a long time. Snorkeling gear and the underwater camera would be a nice thing to bring if you looking for an awesome underwater picture. There's no food stall/vendor around the area. IMO, the best time to visit is around 3 PM as it likely not that crowded and the position of the...
