Rumah Ulin Arya — Attraction in Samarinda

a bit far from city center, once you arrive there are 2 gates, one to the arya swimming pool and the other for rumah ulin arya, but both these place are connected inside. quite nice place to roam around and plenty things to see and feed your instagram.

Service quality wise was not very good specificly for the Buen Restaurant, ordered 2 ea not spicy fried rice (before make an order confirmed with the waitress if the food are not spicy - she said YES they are not spicy) and both came like literally the rice mixed with chili🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️- did u spot the chili?🙈 and when confront it with the waitress she said she already told the kitchen about it - that's it. nothing else. No further action. So we order another soto ayam and asked for the fried rice to be takeaway. Food quality are so so, the ayam kremes with that price could at least have fried tempe and tofu. The soto ayam and kwetiau are salty!!🙈and fried chicken with salty egg sauce also so² but hey when you're hungry you'll eat whatever in front of you - except for that soto ayam🙈🙈

Nice things about the place: sandals are provided for the pool area👍👍 clean toilet and changing room👍👍👍 gate security are very friendly in explaining the area venue and facilities👍👍👍 both rumah ulin and pool crew and staffs are very friendly👍👍 pool water are nice and clean and won't hurt your eyes even after swimming for 3 hrs👍👍 cafe food and services are nice👍👍

is it recommended? Well if you want to go outskirt from city for swimming and see some animals yes. But i'll bring my own...

Great place, the cleanliness is good, some animals especially the rabbits I think they’re a bit stressed because people keep touching them so maybe pay more attention to the animals, the binturong is cute but I think she needs a rest during the day from people touching her and it was hot. The area is huge and strollers friendly. The toilets need some more improvements in cleanliness. I also tried the new cafe/restaurant and the food is nice at a reasonable price just a lot of the foods are sold out only 3 or 4 are available. The library is also very nice with some interesting collections but when I was there, this couple was doing a photoshoot with a professional photographer and makeup artist etc during the visit hours with no confirmation to the visitors so I hope Rumah Ulin Arya could pay more attention to this stuff because it disturbs another visitors or maybe Rumah Ulin Arya could make some kind of law and requirements for this kind of photoshoots...
