Air Terjun Sidoharjo — Attraction in Samigaluh

I visited Curug Sidoharjo two months ago in the Kulon Progo area with friends. In my opinion, the journey to the waterfall is winding and uphill, but the area is easily accessible. When we arrived at the parking lot, we parked our motorbikes at Embung Canggal, and there was a parking attendant. It's free to enter, and we only paid for parking. From the embung, you can see the hills, and it's beautiful when the weather is clear. It's definitely worth a visit. If you want to go trekking, it's okay, only about 800 meters from the parking lot to the waterfall. Along the way, the atmosphere is very natural, with trees on both sides, and it's really cool and refreshing. There's also a stream with clean water. At the waterfall, the water is really refreshing. If you like peace and nature, I highly recommend it. The waterfall is clean, and you can take photos from every angle. The waterfall is beautiful, like a pretty picture. You have to visit here...

I think this place is quite pretty. The walk from the parking lot to the waterfall took only 10 minutes and it was an easy walk. The path also has beautiful view. The waterfall itself is not as big as I thought but it's quite tall indeed. The water isn't as clear when I visited. Probably due to the rainy season. But it was a good experience nonetheless. You can bring food and do some picnic there. Maybe bring your own chair or something to sit on as the place is wet. The parking lot is vast and you can pay as much as you want and there are no charge to get in the waterfall. The only downside is that the place seems to not be managed properly. There are abandoned buildings that I assume is bathrooms. The trash was not picked up so it piled on one of the corner. Hopefully it can...

Eksplorasi air terjun/curug 💦 Kalau kesini, yang ditanya pertama kali, asal kita. "Darimana mbak/mas? Tahu tempat ini darimana?" 😊

Dengan ketinggian 75m, air terjun ini diklaim sebagai yang tertinggi di Yogyakarta, lokasi di Kulon Progo. Kita akan memasuki area embung dulu, Embung Canggal namanya. Parkir kendaraan di area itu. Lalu trekking ke bawah menuju curug, cuma 800 meter an, dekat sekali.

Sebelum jalan ke curug, kita bisa menikmati Embung, meski tak terlampau luas, embung ini memberi suguhan landscape perbukitan Menoreh yang indah. Di embung, kita juga bisa kasih makan ikan, bayar Rp 2rb. Juga bisa kemping, ah lucu lah pokoknya 🍀

Jalan menuju ke curug juga sudah sangat friendly, bahkan kemarin ada pesepeda yang membawa sepedanya sampai curug. Belum ada tiket masuk, hanya bayar parkir kendaraan saja. Jajanan banyak di area embung, kalau di Curug sama sekali tidak ada yang jualan. Ada yang jual kopi khas daerah situ, kopi Menoreh. Wajib cobain.

Trekkingnya singkat, namun disuguhi pemandangan bukit yang aduhai juga teras sering sawah milik warga. Suara gemericik air, sudah terdengar sepanjang perjalanan.

Sampai di curug, sinyal provider akan off karena kita berada di lembah dikepung batuan tinggi. Debit air nampaknya belum maksimal saat kami kesana, ada musim musimnya kali. Puas puasin main air, main rock balancing, atau sekadar duduk bengong, foto foto, tapi kemarin tidak ada yang berenang di curug itu sih.
