A Hidden Gem in Magelang Air Terjun Kedung Kayang offers a breathtaking blend of lush greenery, a powerful waterfall, and the majestic Mount Merapi towering in the distance. The tree platform gives you a surreal panoramic view — perfect for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. Come early to catch the morning mist and golden sunlight. Definitely a must-visit spot when you're in Central Java

📍 Kedung Kayang Waterfall, Magelang 🌄 View: 10/10 📸 Vibes: Peaceful, Majestic, Instagrammable 👣 Tip: Wear comfy shoes, and come during weekdays to avoid crowds

The path to the waterfall is a bit steep, so wear comfortable shoes. But once you arrive, it’s totally worth it. The place is still quite natural and not overly crowded, making it ideal for those who enjoy peace and untouched nature.

Highly recommended for travelers who love nature, adventure,...

While it is nice, but frankly there are better waterfalls in the region. Advantage of this one is that you can see the waterfall from the top without much efforts ie. 5 mins stroll on flat terrain from the car park (which is hidden inside a house, but don't worry they will guide you there) to the view point. The car park is also only a minute away from the main road Selo-Ketep. From the viewpoint you can also walk some stairs down to another viewpoint, or walk down (or hire an ojek which I'd not recommend) the other way to the river below and seeing the waterfall from the bottom - the latter I didn't do as it was about to rain which is not allowed and not...

Access to this place is very easy. There are 2 rivers, one is the upperstream and the other one is the downstream. I only visited the downstream river because we can see the waterfall. The track is ok, not so easy but not too hard. The main challenge is our endurance to go down and up. Use non-slippery sandals/shoes, prepare some water in case you feel dehydrated or tired when you going up. Be wary if the day before the rain occurred, it may be dangerous to go down to see the waterfall, better ask the locals, they are very...
