It's part of Tanjung Perak port, an alternative place to hangout in Surabaya. You can enjoy the view, the breeze, and the sunset. Best time to visit is around 4 pm, so you can find a good spot to enjoy the sunset. It's also interesting to watch the busy port especially when a ship is embarking/disembarking.

You'll enter main lobby through the same gate for passengers' arrival n departure. First floor is the waiting area before passengers board for departure. On the second floor, you'll need to buy a IDR 10k ticket to enter SNQ.

SNQ is on the third floor. Elevator was not in function that day, the escalator from 1st to 2nd floor wasn't working either. I went with a senior, so it was quite a struggle for him to take the high stairs.

On 3rd floor, you can access the viewing deck and the food court with your 10k ticket (4k worth of F&B voucher). We went on a sunday afternoon so it was quite crowded there.

You can access the exclusive dining/cafe area on the viewing deck, you need to pay extra ticket of IDR 50k (45k worth of F&B voucher). If you want to stay longer and want to really enjoy the atmosphere, it's actually a good deal.

Food and beverages are okay, service was good. It was a nice experience.

The unpleasant and disappointing experience was the transportation. We came by taxi, no problem whatsoever*), but to get a ride back was such a hassle.

*) you do need to pay the ticket to enter the port, and another to enter the parking area

'unofficial taxis' are operating at the port. Seems like they had power over the area, so other taxis (official one like Blue Bird or online taxi provider) are 'not allowed' to enter the port area to pick up passengers.

The issue is they do not use meter to set the fare and they set a very high fare. You can negotiate and get a bargain if you're lucky. As a comparison, the fare was 50k from our hotel, and this unofficial taxi ask for 150k for the ride back.

If you want to order other taxi, you can walk to the port gate and wait there. I guess that's the 'border' of their area.

So the best way to come here is to ride your own vehicle to avoid any unnecessary expenses of...

Surabaya North Quay is located at Surabaya City harbor, which known as Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak. It's precisely at 3rd floor. SNQ is designed to be a tourist destination for migrants, or even local residents with an entrance fee is Rp10,000/person. The price is separate from the cost of vehicle (if carrying a private vehicle) and entrance ticket to the port.

There are some food and beverage booth with dining table and chair whether inside or outside room, some bean bag sofa to relax on the synthetic grass which directly facing sea view, also another facilities such as mushola, toilets, drinking water, gift shops, photo spot, ATMs machine, parking lot, etc.

For anyone who loves enjoying scenery, this place is recommended to be visited. It could be just to unwind in the midst of the bustle of this Hero City, or a place for doing quality time with loved ones. Fascinating view at the edge of Surabaya. Some charming ships that come and go, perfecting this scene.

Notes : It will be nice to be here when the afternoons and rainy days is not recommended, but for me, it's...

Around 20 small kiosks, most offer only snack dishes, some still offer main dishes. The main restaurant no longer operational. There's around a dozen 4 seat tables while the majority is 2 seat tables with 2 meter spacing around them like they haven't moved on from the pandemic years, making the place feels empty. Making things worse is that there's an IDR 10.000,- fare just to get into the food court area and you're not even allowed to bring any food or any drink from outside, including your personal water bottle.

Food service took quite the time because the kiosks must cook their foods at the kitchen in a seperate room, at the corner of the food court. The balcony area are messy with furnitures falling from the wind and grass carpets turned over. The good points of this place is that it has the view of the harbour where you can see and photograph many ships and boats. Overall, it is unfortunately poorly developed, with the view being the only redeeming factor if it worth the IDR...
