RECOMMENDATION OF A NATURE TOURISM CURUG NANGKA (NANGKA WATERFALL) The full daily learning activity in the college make me decide to plan a recreation to my weekend. I get a nice information about a good nature tourism place that would be right place to release my mind pressure from my friend called Nuer. We are doing a long conversation and she suggest me about a tourism place called Curug Nangka in Ciapus, Bogor, West Java. Based on that conversation I can describe that Curug Nangka is one of another favourit tourism place to enjoy natural view of Indonesia. Curug Nangka has a calm ambience and fresh air condition which has beautiful waterfall and natural scenary around Halimun Salak Mountain. A high rain intensity make the temperature stand still so this place is being a place for people who want to release their stress and also to the family recration this place could be relaxing and joyful for them. Recommended way to go to this destination is by using a motorcycle. Hedwig said “There is a steep, slick, and tight road to reach that place due to you have to pass a mountain road. So, would be better you take a motorcycle”. It is can take 62 kilometer road distance to reach that place from Tangerang, and taking time around 3 hours. The ticket price is Rp.40.000 including parking cost. To eating necessary would be better if bring own foods from home because the price of foods there are higher than normal. Off course if it would be more thrifty with bring own foods. From the information explained above I’m interrested enough to visit that place and want to feel a freshness of the water and the air there, due to I need a scenary that could be release my mind pressure. Not forget, I would prepare my vehicle and my camera gear in order to make sure the trip is going well also can be documenting my experience in Curug nangka which would...
Read moreCurug Nangka is beautiful. It is a small space with a quite high waterfall. It is not suitable for swimming as the water is deep; it reaches around the abdomen of a man. The waterfall creates a strong wind, so when you want to get closer, make sure to be careful, as it can strongly sway you. The waterfall is clean and cold, but I still see some trash. I hope the authorities will forbid plastics or items that people easily throw everywhere. The air is fresh, and the temperature is nice. There is a small cave.
Road Trip: Dramaga to Curug Nangka I used Waze to navigate to curug, and the road I drove on mostly goes through residential areas, so be cautious of people, animals, small rocks, trash, and vehicles. There are lots of potholes and speed bumps, some of which are hard to see. Overall, I reached and returned safely.
Main Gate to enter Curug Nangka: When I arrived at the main gate, I paid the entrance fee and vehicle entrance fee. After parking my vehicle, I had to pay for a parking ticket. Fees: Entrance fees Vehicle fees Parking vehicle fees
Road to Curug Nangka: Options: Ojek or walk At the vehicle park, there is a small road with signs showing the direction to Curug Nangka. The signs are clear and easy to find, so people should not get lost. There are stairs, so it is somewhat steep. Along the way, there are warungs and a camping ground. The pavement is already designed for safety and ease. There are monkeys, and there are rules for interacting with them. Do not play with, feed, or call the monkeys without a valid reason. There is a path to curug, which is quite difficult due to the presence of various-sized rocks, boulders, stones, and gravel. This path remains in its natural state and is not designed for easy walking. At curug, there is a steep, small path leading to Curug Daun, which serves...
Read moreNangka and Bunder are different. Nothing to do with each other. Except that both have waterfall (waterfall = air terjun) .Nangka has several waterfalls (small ones and one bigger). Bunder should be around 20 min drive farther away and you have to follow the main road again. Did not go to Bunder. According to the parc guy both are good but different. IIRC bunder is around 6-7 waterfalls. Slightly higher entrance fee then Nangka. Not sure if this information is reliable.
Nangka water fall is when you turn left at the Highland Park Resort At the main road. Then follow the road for 500m-1Km. You can not miss it. The road is easy and for indonesian standards well maintained and not steep at all. Twice entrance fee in 100m. One is supposed to be for the parc in general, the other one for the waterfall. Reasonable price and no discrimination towards foreigner/"bule" like in bandung. Was around 20.000 IDR together. Depends if you come by bike or car.
Once you arrive at the actual start of the walk to the waterfalls you notice a few shops and then the walk up. Which can be tiring for some. Guess it takes around 15 minutes - 30 minutes depending of your pace. Some small vendors along the route. Stony and did it on sandals.
Personnally i actually liked the waterfalls. Small place to swim/bath were it comes down. If you want to take a shower after your walk in it, you might want to bring your swimming pants. Some toilets very close by where you can change clothes. (IDR 3000...
