Gilan Rural Heritage Museum  is located in the heart of Saravan Forests, near Rasht City and before Fuman road, many rural houses have been gathered in the Gilan Rural Heritage Museum from the surrounding villages and they have been reconstructed here. The feasible studies and field works for establishing a rural museum were started in 2002. including the projects of determining the location and recognizing Gilan cultural fields. These fields can be divided into nine parts, according to the findings of these studies, based on the cultural and architectural diversity of the province and regardless of the country divisions. These fields include two main branches of the east and west each one with four coastal, plain, submontane and mountainous subcategories. موزه میراث روستایی گیلان یکی از جذاب‌ترین دیدنی‌ های رشت است. این موزه مکانی عالی برای آشنایی با معماری، فرهنگ، سبک زندگی، غذاهای محلی، صنایع‌ دستی، پوشاک و... مردم مناطق مختلف استان گیلان است. ۲۸ مجموعه مسکونی در این موزه جای گرفته‌اند و فضاهای روستایی دیگر مانند شالیزار و کاهدان، لانه مرغ و... در آن بازسازی شده‌اند. موزه میراث روستایی گیلان تجربه‌ای فراموش‌نشدنی را برای هر بازدیدکننده رقم می‌زند. موزه میراث روستایی گیلان در زمینی به مساحت حدود ۲۶۳ هکتار برپا شده است و یکی از دیدنی‌ترین جاذبه های گردشگری گیلان محسوب می‌شود. این موزه نمونه‌ای کوچک، اما واقعی از نحوه‌ زندگی و فرهنگ سنتی روستاهای گیلان است. بخش معماری این موزه، مجموعه‌ای است که قدمت بناهای آن به‌طور متوسط به ۱۵۰ سال می‌رسد. این سازه‌ها ۲۸ مجموعه را تشکیل می‌دهند و شامل بناهای مسکونی و جانبی از مناطق مختلف استان هستند. بناها در نقاط گوناگون گیلان شناسایی، مستندسازی، واچینی و مجددا در موزه دوباره چینی شدند. در موزه میراث روستایی گیلان علاوه بر بازدید از فضاهای روستایی و آشنایی با فرهنگ و معماری مناطق مختلف استان، می‌توانید با لباس‌های محلی عکاسی کنید، از غذاهای محلی بچشید و از بازارچه صنایع دستی خرید کنید. همچنین این اکوموزه بزرگ می‌تواند یکی از بهترین مقاصد تفریحی رشت برای کودکان باشد. کارگاه‌های آموزش و تولید صنایع دستی، نظیر گمج‌سازی و سفالگری، مرواربافی، رشتی‌دوزی و... ، محوطه‌ی بازی‌ها و نمایش‌های بومی، مراکز تحقیقات کشاورزی و دامپروری، پژوهشگاه معماری و مردم‌شناسی، پارک کودک، باغ‌های پرورش گیاهان دارویی و درختان بومی، اردوگاه تفریحی، معماری چوب ملل و دو مجموعه‌ مهمانپذیر با الهام از معماری روستایی در این موزه در نظر گرفته شده‌ است.
