The Great Museum of Khorasan is beautifully designed and really well-organized. It covers everything from ancient history to Islamic art and culture, with some incredible artifacts and detailed explanations (many signs have English too, which is a plus for tourists).
The building itself is modern and spacious, with great lighting and a calm atmosphere. You can easily spend 1–2 hours here exploring different sections. It’s also located near Koohsangi Park, so you can combine both in one trip.

Read moreThe only thing great about this museum is the building. The collections are very limited and very little organised. Some of the items have explanations in Persian and some are bilingual with English as well. Among these items, some information, like dates, are only transliterated instead of converting to Gregorian calendar. It seems like the curator of the museum is not very well informed about such matters. You can expect to spend about an hour here.
