This mosque is the oldest mosque in Urmua and one of the rare mosques in Iran with a very particular delicate pattern of its altar. The mosque has been restored and can be visited when you are in the city. The first point of entry is the area below the grand dome, and the first thing catching your attention is the fabulous altar with delicate calligraphy engraved on stone and plaster. Another special point of the architecture of this building is the fact that your voice travels very well from one corner of the room to the other when you speak normally. You can also visit the praying hall where the pillars are erected in a striking manner.

I can't rate the place as I couldn't visit the interior. They told us the mosque opens only in pray time (12:00 to 14:30 as of late September) but then after we returned they said the one in charge hasn't come yet! The mosque itself belongs to the Ilkhanate era and is placed on top of a Sassanid fire temple.
