Really lovely spot with plenty to do. Playground, lake with water sports (don't take cards), picnics and beautiful walks. Walk around black island is quite flat and suitable for buggies or those with additional needs. Children walked it no bother. Playground is a little scattered with biggest kids' stuff a bit out of the way of the smaller kids' stuff and too complex for my 4 year old and 6 year old needed some help. Read moreGreat park, plenty of space for dog walkers but be aware not everyone has their dog on a lead. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting muddy as some parts of the walk track are quite mucky.
There is usually a coffee van on site and there are public toilets also up beside the castle.
Great childrens playpark also and lots of free car parking (but obviously dogs aren't allowed in that section).
