Amazing experience- very well organised and provides beautiful insight into Kavanagh’s life. Wonderful facility and very comfortable to spend time there. Lovely shop with local crafts all relating to Patrick Kavanagh’s life/poems. Highly recommend a visit.

Lovely place, hometown of Patrick Kavanagh- attended the Blindboy event where he interviewed Pat McCabe, very interesting. McNellos pub had a live trad session going.

Well laid out centre and interesting artifacts of the era of Patrick Kavanagh based in Iniskeen. A nice little tea rooms next door too with some tasty bites.

Many thanks to Sean and the team in the Patrick Kavanagh Centre for a truly interesting experience on our recent visit to Inniskeen. Our poetry group "At Home with Poetry" travelled to Monaghan from Dublin recently and it was well rewarded by first of all the welcome we received from the Centre staff themselves and then the wealth of knowledge that was imparted to us by the Centre Administrator, Sean, who is clearly an ardent and eloquent admirer of Kavanagh. The Centre is a wonderful tribute to Patrick Kavanagh and anyone passing through the area should not miss the opportunity to have a truly immersive experience of the poet's creativity and genius. The graveyard and all the lore surrounding it is not to be missed. We left having a deeper appreciation of not alone Kavanagh's poetry but the countryside that grew and formed him and which he loved. Thank you all for your hospitality, knowledge and attention to detail in ensuring that we had a lovely day at all levels. Kind Regards from Annette O'Connell and Margaret Molony on behalf of the...

Inniskeen, as the Irish name suggests, is a truly beautiful place. We learnt much about its rich local history and the wonderful Patrick Kavanagh from Sean, our welcoming and highly knowledgeable tour guide. As somebody who is deeply fond of Kavanagh's work, I would thoroughly recommend visiting the Centre. It was a special and moving experience walking in the footsteps of such an extraordinary...

It has been tastefully transformed in to a visitor's centre by clever Architecture by Mark Leslie. Darren Mc Creesh is the manager of this very special building which also has an auditorium for...
