Not exactly as easy to find as it is to spot from the motorway! Once there, however, you are rewarded with a very unexpected old ruin. The abbey, in ruins for centuries, has been used for local burials (in the ground within the ancient walls) since at least the mid-1800s. The road is incredibly narrow with little opportunity to pass or turn around and no warning signs. This is a good size abbey and well worth a visit. If you are lucky the cows grazing in the field may approach and you might just be able to give one a scratch on the head as you pass...
