Doolin Pier is an absolute gem on the Wild Atlantic Way! Whether you're catching a ferry to the Aran Islands, enjoying a coastal walk, or just soaking in the breathtaking ocean views, this spot is a must-visit. The pier itself is well-maintained, and the surrounding scenery is simply spectacular—rugged cliffs, crashing waves, and that fresh sea air make it unforgettable.

We took the ferry to Inisheer from here, and the process was smooth, with friendly staff and efficient service. Even if you're not island-hopping, the pier is a great place to watch fishing boats, spot seabirds, or just relax with an ice cream from the nearby shop.

Parking was convenient, and there are some lovely cafĂ©s and pubs (like Gus O’Connor’s) within walking distance for a bite or a pint afterward. Sunsets here are magical—highly recommend staying...

Recommend. Family friendly. Inside and outside viewing areas. The seats are a decent comfort level. No one smoked. Not rocky at all, very calm ride.

Also there is a little fish and chips stand next door for a quick meal before...

If you take a bus to the pier, the walk from the bus stop is a good 20 min and it could be tough if the wind is against you. Uphill climb as well in parts. Plenty of parking there. Any misgivings are taken care of the view of the...
