May 29th at 2 pm, the place is wonderful. Now the 1 star rating. The people at the visitor's center, the cafeteria, the shuttle bus driver, the gardeners, everyone were the most pleasant people. Except for the little boy at the reception desk inside the castle apparently was never taught the meaning of respect, and hopefully, someday in the near future, he finds that person. We kindly asked if there were any entrance fees for the tour, to be kind of enough to acknowledge his presence. We were sure there wasn't but didn't want to walk past him like he was nothing, he is. He replied that there isn't a charge it is a self-guided tour with signs, then a pause. "IF YOU CAN READ," he said with a snide smile. If I can read??? Hey, I can write too. Check in with your boss later, I'm sending them an email. I raised an eyebrow and tried to brush it off. Bumped into some other Americans and casually asked how their encounter went with him. They, too, were given a snide remark from him as well. This little boy should be emptying trash bins instead of insulting the visitors. Anyhow, beautiful place, ugly employee.
