I honestly don’t think I can capture in words how remarkable this place is. The course was absolutely breathtaking and in world class condition with views you have to see to believe. The pictures don’t do it justice. The rental clubs were a full set of Taylormade Stealths and practically brand new. However, what was most impressive about this place is the staff, hands down. We were greeted by Ronan and immediately we were treated like old friends, he went out of his way to be incredibly accommodating, cheerful, and kind. One of our party forgot their phone in the cab and Ronan called the taxi company and tracked down the phone and had it returned before we even hit the turn. On top of that he came to check on us while we were playing to make sure we were having a good time and even gave us all a nice little keepsake. I have played many courses, and this place felt like more than a cut above, it’s like a home away from home. A golfers paradise. Thanks Ronan and gang. We...
Read moreThe staff here are very friendly. There is a caring touch to them. Myself and my wife came here for lunch yesterday Sunday June 1st. Had a lovely table by the window overlooking the Golf Course and Galway Bay. Service top notch. Food excellent. Some other places can have a lot more dishes on their menu but look does that matter. I don't think so. I had the fillet chicken burger. Portion size just right. My wife had braised beef. Excellent. One desert between us. Has to be one of the nicest deserts we have ever had. The rhubarb and apple crumble. The presentation was class. Perfect for two of us. Visit this place. Make sure you book. If you want to add more expense to your meal get some wine or something. Connacht hotel group are renovating the hotel at the moment and building a leisure centre. It's going to be great for local employment. And an even more beautiful place to visit. Their coffees are...
Read moreSuperb course, in superb condition. A brilliant course to play for players of all levels, some great variations of holes with brilliant views throughout, I played on one of the few calm days and the course was still very challenging. The tees, greens fairways and bunkers all in brilliant condition. The only thing netter than the course is the welcome that you get from all of the staff, having played golf on lots of courses in Ireland, England and Scotland there is nowhere that has come even close to Galway Bay for a welcome. I would encourage anyone to play the course but also visit the pro shop, bar and restaurant where all of the people take a genuine interest and will do everything that they possibly can to make your visit the best it can possibly be. I could not recommend this any higher, it doesn't...
