Wonderful trails and single track. The downhill shicanes are amazing. Parking currently costs €5. On the other hand the map(s) of the trails is about as bad as any map could be. The main map is virtually unusable. Throughout the trails there are numbers at locations but for some reason they do not appear on any map. Surely that is the propose of them to help you find your location. There are other sign issues and at least one significant mistake that I spotted on one map. They did a super job on the trails but the map …. 🤷‍♂️

This place is amazing!I enjoyed every second there and can't wait to come back to try other trails. Is 5 euros the car park and you must have coins to play it.You can rent a bike and equipment from there. I had my 400 euro bike and I feelt that there is her limit, need good brakes and a bit of skills because you can hit any time a tree or rocks. Is very easy to fallow the marks. And at the end you can wash your bike the for 2 euro coins but the water has low pressure on need a brush.

What an experience - Did the 17k (Brown) route and it was a lot of fun and high tempo cycling. Course was really well laid out with some tough uphills followed by very rewarding and challenging downhill trails. The support from the staff was superb and the shower facilities afterwards made it a really comfortable experience. Bring a backpack, water, sunglasses, snacks and a change of clothes!!! Cannot wait to visit again and try the other trails.

So I parked in this carpark headed uphill a strenuous stretch, until I came to the boardwalk (Do not enter on it), but it's fine to use, just be careful a lot of bog holes if you don't stay on the boardwalk. Climbing up to Castle Philip and crossing over the bog land over another boardwalk type of thing, very swampy in places, but weather was good up to Seefin East trip point then straight across to Seefin highest point. I was told previously to follow purple arrows if you choose this route it's ok, just all forest trail, but instead of going downhill which is on a bend and just brings you back to Carpark, swing uphill heading for Castle Philip and Seefin East is on your left again with a sign saying do not use boardwalk, but just be careful as very swampy, when you are finished viewing either head over to Seefin highest peak which you can see directly in front of you if you are standing with your back to Seefin East trig point, or you can just go back the way you came uphill, but heading downhill following purple markers around the bend back to carpark. Fantastic day's...

Spent a few days riding this area a couple of years ago. Very well layed out and climbing straight from the car park. There was hire bikes available at that time but not sure if this is still the case. I remember an honesty box for parking during the week but the centre is manned over the weekend. Showers were available for use after the ride, vending machines also available. The management have obviously visited other mountain biking areas and have taken all the good ideas and created this, I especially remember the one way system on the board walk over the bog. Well worth a detour to visit if you are...

For me Ballyhoura has the best MTB trails in Ireland, very well thought out trail head, fantastic facilities, bike hire, cafe, MTB shop repairs, changing rooms, showers and toilets, plus secure parking, and I have to say since they have built the new Downhill trails as well something for everyone one from flowy single track to super fast flowy downhill and some lovely technical trails, all cleverly linked together so you can just have a great days fun, Recommend Ballyhoura MTB trails as a must visit and a super day of fun riding...
