Only three out of the fourteen locals survived the sinking of the Titanic after it hit a iceberg in the North Atlantic on it's maiden voyage heading to America on the 15th of April 1912. Not one or two, but 14 people from this village boarded the Titanic from Cork in its one and only journey. This place is an absolute tribute to those people. Only 3 survived out of this 14 and the story of each one is listed here. One will definitely make you emotional.
