Addergoole Titanic Society — Attraction in County Mayo

When we're reminded each year of the Titanic and the lives lost in the disaster. I only learnt about they Addergoole 14 on an Instagram post someone else shared. The left Mayo for to seek a new life in America on board the Titanic, out of the 14 only 3 women survived. This memorial is a tribute to those who will never be forgotten, and it's worth a visit. If we were to stand and take a moment to think about who these people are and where they came from when they boarded the Titanic in Queenstown NOW Cobh in Cork. Beautiful little garden that is pristine in every way. It's wheelchair accessible. The garden pays respect to the fourteen people from the local area who sailed on the Titanic. Only three out of the fourteen locals survived the sinking of the Titanic after it hit a iceberg in the North Atlantic on it's maiden voyage heading to America on the 15th of April 1912. What a story!!! Its unbelievable that we would find a very very remote village, which had such a connection with the sad Titanic story. Not one or two, but 14 people from this village boarded the Titanic from Cork in its one and only journey. This place is an absolute tribute to those people. Only 3 survived out of this 14 and the story of each one is listed here. One will definitely make you emotional.
