Mullaghmore Beach — Attraction in County Sligo

My husband, I and our two kids aged 6 and under were blessed to stay for a week within walking distance of this fabulous beach with amazing views of Ben Bulben and the iconic Dartry mountain range. Whilst we didn't get great weather for the bulk of our break: grey, misty, windy, showery and uninspiring mainly. The gods smiled on us for New year's day 2025. We took turns to walk the sandy beach without the children, played football and built sandcastles for a couple of hours here. What an amazing day out. Absolutely stunning. Journey down was around 2 hours & was most definitely worth the drive. We left from Cavan & the views on route where spectacular.

Parking & public toilets near by. Beach is 5* highly recommended.

The only suggestion would be if you have young kids attending to stop on route to buy buckets ect as the small shop doesn't have a good range or selection. Or remember to pack...
