Cáit O'Donohoe was our first point of contact when we entered the park. Here is a lady who truly loves what she does. She tried to teach us a bit of the Irish but sad to report it did not stick. Any way love the park and the history we learned. Having spent a lot of time on the farm as a kid I really enjoyed seeing all the old farm implements. This was our last stop on our way to Dublin to fly home to Canada and wouldn't you know it my wife left her phone in the woman's washroom and we did not discover it until we hit the airport. Nothing to be done because she was not 100% sure where she last had it. Sent a email to the park the next day when we got home and Cáit O'Donohoe was the one who answered it and went above and beyond to get my wife's phone back to her so again a big thank you. As an employer this young lady is a real asset to your organization.
Again Cáit embodies the Irish people's attitude and the reason we keep coming back to Ireland.
Thanks so...
Read moreI visited Dún na Sí Heritage Centre today with a group of students from France, and it was a truly fantastic experience. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make the visit engaging for the students. The heritage park itself is full of life and history — from traditional cottages and crafts to Irish music and storytelling, the students were fascinated and had plenty of opportunities to learn in an interactive way.
The outdoor park was also a highlight, with its beautiful walking trails, sculptures, and peaceful natural setting, offering the students time to relax and take in the atmosphere. What impressed me most was how the centre manages to balance cultural heritage with fun, hands-on experiences that appeal to young people.
Overall, it was an enriching and memorable day for the group. I highly recommend Dún na Sí for schools, international visitors, and anyone who wants to experience authentic Irish heritage in a warm and welcoming...
Read moreVisited today and was more than impressed with this amenity. The newly opened coffee shop is lovely and has good selection of coffee, tea, cakes, salads and snacks. All served by friendly staff in a lovely bright airy room. There is also an outdoor eating area. The park has well laid out walks with creative art features on every bend. The involvement of pupils from local schools in creating the artistic features gives them a distinct local context. The park is free and there is a 5 euro charge to enter the heritage area which is well worth visiting. Excellent displays of farmyard machinery and cottages and other features give great insights into the past. There is even a small pet farm with ducks, hens, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs. I would highly recommend a visit for families, adults, children, in fact anyone should enjoy it. I will be back to see the amazing new Lugh which has to be seen to be believed ! ...
