Flew in from Canada 2 days early for a Stag do, which was cover for my MTB addiction. Spent a wonderful day at The GAP. Matt and all his staff made the whole day an absolute gas. Had me biked up and kitted out quickly, and even went so far as to Oppo my brakes for me (cause we're weird across the pond) even going so far as to swap me bikes when I had some real big brake fade happening. Nothing against pedalling uphill, but when there is Uplift. Im in like Flynn. The trails were incredible well done, the berms were absolutely absent of braking bumps, and everything just, flowed wickedly. Overall an amazing day, minus a broken toe on 'Rim Dinger' and a rolled Ankle on 'Bee Line' both own fault. But entirely worth the wild trek down on the 145 bus. Next time I come back to the republic Im setting out 5 day just to come shred that delectable Irish Gnar 🤘 Also, that Club Sambo at the kitchen isn't a sambo, its an absolutely delicious uphill fight for your belly, dont be a sook, get one...

Our Visit to Glencullen was faultless... They were so kind and accomodating to us. We were short one bike and they managed to get one for us. They swapped our morning booking for the afternoon booking as it took us longer than expected to arrive. They have extremely lovely owners and staff and the facilities were spotless. They have put a huge amount of work into making the adventure park an experience and maintaining it. I was able to sit outside in the cabin area and have coffee and cake while catching up on my work online for the coming week while the kids were on the bikes. There is also a trail up the side of the skills area that is a gorgeous walk with lovely views! Unfortunately, my son fell from a jump but he was brought down very fast to be treated and they made sure he was well looked after before we left. I highly recommend The Gap to anyone for a day out! Thankyou so much for a fab day we will be back 🤗

The cycle park is only open a few months so everything is so new and clean! We paid for a half day uplift service (€27) which is good value and a great service. It saves the old legs and gives you more time on the trails which is what it's all about for me. Having said that I believe you can cycle up in less than 15 minutes but I can't confirm that. I only used the blue and some red trails which were both fun and challenging for me. The staff are friendly and helpful and unfortunately we even needed to use the onsite mechanics who were great and their prices were reasonable. I will definitely be revisiting here in the near future. Fast forward a number of years... There are now many more trails in The GAP. Six of these start much higher up and for the less fit or those wanting to maximise their time on the trails, I would recommend the uplifts.

The best bike park i have ever been to. The gap offers amazing, well maintained, single track for all ages and skill levels, you can go from riding some gentle blue trails as a novice to some of the most demanding tech trails in one day, the level of improvement you can gain in one day is amazing, I live in Dublin so go to the GAP offen enough to say that it has the best trails i have ever ridden. They are constantly improving and updating trails, with a recent massive overhall to the trails during lockdown. Riding these trails is a blast and there is nothing I love more than going down their wicked fun trails. The variety of trails at The GAP is outstanding, there is everything from rooty loamy trails, rocks, massive jumps and smooth berms, in a single day you can get more variety of riding than in a whole season of riding. The prices at the Gap are very fair, a full day uplift is 40 euros but when considering you can easily do more than 20 laps in that time, the money is well worth it. The pedal up cost is 5 euros and again completlety worth it, i love getting a pedal up and sessioning trails like french connection. The Staff at the gap are more than friendly, they help you with anything that can go wrong, on my last trip to the gap i got a flat, they brought me back down the trail in the uplift Van even though i had only paid for the Pedal up, They have very capable bike mechanics, I have never used one of there rentals before, however they are great bikes and look very well maintained. The last and by far not least point is the food, the GAP has one of the best kitchens i have ever seen at a bike park, offering a wide selection of food and drinks, i would personally reccomend their famous chicken burger, the food is on the expensive side, however when your shredding trails all day you do start to get hungry, the food is well worth the cost. This is the reason for my 5 stars, I love the GAP and will continue going...

Brilliant place, best in Ireland easily. Super well set up, lovely helpful people, well maintained tracks, 5 stars easy.

My only comment would be another blue track leading to the 2nd pick up spot would be sweet, hopefully if they can be profitable and make enough money to expand they can put that in.

Thank you again for the lovely 3 days, my riding improved so much although I still couldn't clear the river. Next time. 👍😁

For anyone curious the route I choose was as follows. (I wanted to get faster and practice jumps)

Initially Blue from top (fast, large berms) - Blue from mid (smaller berms but lots of small humps to jump of) take left at fork to red - red to finish. Byner I think.

Then as I got the bike speed up and jump timing better.

Blue from top (fast, large berms) - Blue from mid (smaller berms but lots of small humps to jump of) take right at fork to black (big tables) which connects in to a blue after the trees but you can drive over the grass and connect to the best bit of the red.

Finally

Rode the top section of the black jumps line, accessed by going down Rim dinger, the red, from drop off. That top black section is the best jumps line in the park. After 3 days or rince and repeat I cleared the top blacks. Need more practice to get the rest and get a bit of style but hopefully this will get me in good shape for the holiday this summer. Physically it was brutal, no crashes but everything hurts, in a good way, sort off. Clearly I needed...

This place ticks all the boxes. Fair prices, friendly and very professional staff, indisputably beautiful scenes & views and last but not least, the quality of the trails is top notch. I will be back during the summer, for the winds of winter are strong beyond the treeline. Thank you Glencullen and I suppose Sinéad should be thank too as Sinéad was the first member of staff I spoke to. As it was my first time at the adventure park, I had no idea how to initiate the day. She advised me of the waiver I needed to sign and took the piss out of me for asking for a "All day parking pass", starting the day off with humour and jokes set the tone and I commend any member of staff who can have a bit of bant at 10am on a Saturday morning, standing in work.

The food afterwords was fantastic too and much needed after many miles of fun. Social distancing was clearly used and they seem to have a good system in place to handle the copious amounts of people who attended that day. Unfortunately, I could not experience the uplift that day but plan on returning and booking ahead to ensure my spot on the bus. Although, social distancing rules apply on the uplift most of all (understandably, considering the nature of it) so you must use a bubble group. I believe the price was high for just two riders so it's best to have a group going to book the uplift.

Overall, one of the best bike parks about and as explained, the staff are a credit to the company. Once...
