Don't go in rush hours. Way to busy and not enough room to pass.

Take the long way and go off the path to find some hidden gems.

Take a picnic to have on the hill.

How much time you spend there is up to you. You could have an entire day there or do a lap. Stop in the far car park for ice-cream.

For a longer walk park at the harbor and walk up the hill to the head. If taking kids this way take extra things to eat drink as complaining will come on the way back.

Must stop for fish and chips on the way home.

In rush hours drive up over the hill to avoid the...

Amazing hidden gem 💎 This place offers one of the most mesmerizing views of the coast of Howth. Many movies has used these views and I loved to see this place and its in my favorite list since then.

Parking is free and almost always available. Beautiful paths on the cliff but not good for children because of uneven paths and dangerous bends.

If you want to bring kids, you can still go and have walk on simple paths but then you will have to stop and go back.

I have recommended this place to all my friends and they...

Stunning scenary! You can walk there quickly from Howth Station or get 5min close by car, too. Outgoing are multiple hiking paths through the Isle of Howth, which are not that challenging (longest takes ~3h), and have pretty terrain. Of you're not in a hiking mood, this spot alone is worth the short 30min walk from the station. One of my favourite go-to spots in and around Dublin, have been here every time I visited and will very much continue doing so

First time doing the coastal walk, and it was fabulous, It's very well signed, so the chances of getting lost are slim. It's lovely that it brings you into Howth so you can stop for a coffee and snack in one of the eateries at the market. I chose the 12k route, and it was quite taxing, so a decent level of fitness required for this anyway . All in all, it is a fantastic way to spend a few hours taking in some gorgeous scenery.
