Lovely park , unfortunately the storms has knocked a lot of trees (NOT tree pruning as a recent review stated ) Great walk, nice and peaceful for the most part. Lots of places to sit . Unfortunately most of it ruined in the afternoon / evening by off lead , poorly controlled dogs being excercised by owners. All dogs are required to be on a lead under section 9 of Control of Dogs Act 1986 unfortunately no one complies. Pointless having a path to improve accessibility and dogs are loose under the feet of children, old people and buggies constantly. Fouling is also a serious issue as dogs are being let run through the woods so owners can deny seeing it happen

Fantastic park in knocknacarra, great place to walk your dogs, it backs onto Bearna Woods so you can walk in there as well, there is a playground for the younger children, and loads of sports on the pitches

The kids loved the rather long and steep slide. The zip line wasn't suitable for them without help, my oldest is 7. They needed help at holding the seat whilst climbing onto it as it was high. Also didn't go very fast. The little playground was grand, something in it for all ages. I had ages 4,5 & 7. Equipment seems well kept. We also had a 3 month old with us and did a lovely walk around with the kids and buggy. It's a great outdoor space for the kids, and dog if wanted. Parking was easy too, I got a spot right beside the playground. I had a potty in the boot for the 4yr old, I am not familiar with the facilities available there as not a regular place for us. I also had my own snacks and drinks, i didn't see a...

Most dog owners at the park are very decent people with well trained dogs. Unfortunately there are a few individuals that are not and I have been accosted by dogs on a few occasions while exercising in the park. In particular, there is a white and tan terrier that the owner refuses to put on a leash even though the dog will accost any person who happens to be on the pitch. The dog owner will then shout at the person, " he doesn't like you". I know people who have stopped going to the park because of this dog and more to the point because...
