The Wishing Bridge, nestled within the breathtaking Gap of Dunloe in County Kerry, is a truly enchanting and picturesque spot that fully lives up to its name. It's a must-see for anyone exploring this stunning part of Ireland. The bridge itself is a charming stone archway, gracefully spanning a serene river, and is surrounded by a dramatic landscape of lush greenery and majestic mountains. The views from and around the bridge are simply stunning, making it an incredibly popular spot for photographers. Every angle seems to offer a postcard-perfect shot. Steeped in local folklore, the bridge is famously believed to grant wishes made while crossing it. Whether you believe in the magic or not, it adds a lovely touch of whimsy and tradition to your visit. It's a common sight to see people pausing, closing their eyes, and making a quiet wish. The Wishing Bridge is a highlight of any trip through the Gap of Dunloe, whether you're experiencing it on foot, by bicycle, or via a traditional jaunting car (horse and trap). There is parking available nearby at the top of the Gap, though the road through the Gap itself is very narrow and can be busy with various modes of transport, so take care. While there are no facilities directly at the bridge, its serene beauty and the tranquil atmosphere make it a perfect spot to pause, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and soak in the incredible natural surroundings. It's a truly memorable experience that connects you with the wild beauty and rich folklore of...

Nestled within the dramatic landscape of the Gap of Dunloe, the Wishing Bridge offers a charming respite for weary travelers. This stone archway, spanning the River Loe, exudes an air of enchantment that captures the imagination.

Legend has it that wishes made while crossing the bridge are destined to come true. Whether you're a believer in folklore or not, pausing to make a wish adds a touch of whimsy to your journey. The bridge itself is a picturesque spot, framed by the rugged mountains and verdant hills.

The Wishing Bridge is a popular stop for those traversing the Gap of Dunloe, either on foot, by bike, or by jaunting car. It's a place to rest, take in the scenery, and perhaps, if you're lucky, have a wish granted. Even without the folklore, the bridge's serene beauty and tranquil atmosphere make it a...

Really beautiful places really county side of Ireland . Places had It doesn't look real, if you're afraid of heights, don't go, it's not a place for caravanning, whether with trailers or up to 3.5t van , the roads are too winding and the places to pass are too shallow and with protruding rocks, you need to have eyes in the back of your head, if you're a weekend driver or inexperienced, DO NOT GO THERE, park 1 to 2 km earlier and walk, it's obvious that you won't cover the entire route in the photos for a very long distance, and it's uphill and downhill on a road NOT FOR DRIVERS WITHOUT EXPERIENCE!!‼️‼️ there's a risk of serious accidents and the possibility of getting...
