Laytown is an incredible beach, tide in or out depending what you want. There are amenities, sand toy box, toilets coffee shop, small supermarket and great parking. However, where the river joins the sea it is a ROUGH swim. It's not recommended for kids and adults need to be careful when the tide is in. For kids there lots of small fish, prawns and crabs... We've had great fun catching for years!

Beautiful long beach that stretches for miles. It wouldn't be the deepest beach to go swimming, but it is ideal for paddle boarding when the weather isn't too rough. Some nice little coffee shops in Laytown and Bettystown if you are looking for a hot cup the pick you up. Sunrises are amazing here, especially in the autumn/winter.

Stunning views everyday, and amazing walks for Miles in every direction. Great place to let the dogs off lead and is kept clean by everyone that uses it. And also it's home to the world's only beach horse racing course which happens August when the tide is out.

A great beach if you like peace and quiet, and much easier to let your dog off the lead here as there's fewer people milling about. It's connected to the much busier Bettystown beach in case you prefer the livelier beach. Horses are allowed here during certain parts of the day, and if you time it right, you can wade through the water for a brisk swim without having to traverse any rocky portions...
