Well worth the visit. There's lots of information and historical objects from across Monaghan to see in the museum. I found the War of Independence exhibition particularly interesting with detailed information related to the county from that time period. Also it's free to enter so I'd certainly recommend paying a visit there.

A very interesting museum within the new Place Campus building. Great history lesson on current and past people from Monaghan, local and famous. Life during the Troubles. Lots to see and read. Across two floors. Fully accessible, paid underground parking.

A little gem! Took kids with me (always a risk) but they had a scavenger hunt for them and they loved it!
