Just an FYI I checked online and it said that the cost of entrance was 8 euros but when we got there it was 11 euros per adult and 10 for kids. Children under 2 get in free. Spring is the best time to see the baby animals. Baby lambs wonder around the petting area and you can rub them. They are super friendly. Also wondering around is a little pony but be careful he loves nibbling everything. Even your bag. The next time we go I'll take some apples. The best thing about this farm was the petting farm and they have supervised petting at 12.30, 2 and 4. You can get to pet rabbits, chicks, a chinchilla and even a hedgehog. Also in the area is Freddie the pony and you can even get to ride Freddie. There are also donkeys and a calf but the star of the show for me has got to be Tina the cockatoo. She has a big personality and you can get your picture taken with her. My three year old loved all the play areas. I wasn't aware of the indoor play area so I didn't take her there and it will be an excuse to go back. She absolutely loved the outdoor areas. And I think she would have had a great time on those alone. Rumleys also have "Axel the wolf". He was so cool. There are also other animals but we didn't get to see them up close. After our walk around we went for coffee in the cafe. I had a cappuccino and it was pretty good and my daughter had a hot chocolate with marshmallows and she had 3/4 which is a pretty good sign for her. The staff were very helpful and friendly and were very patient with the kids (and adults ) asking questions.

I visited Rumleys farm today with my godson for the first time. I had high hopes however those didn’t last long upon seeing the quality of the animals enclosures/quality of life. The enclosures were extremely small, dark, overcrowded and the animals looked miserable/were clearly in distress and not in good health. Some enclosures had no bedding/floors saturated in faeces. There were dogs in cages, a sheep that was near unresponsive with no water in hot temperatures. There was birds in cages no higher than a meter with no space to fly or move around. There were farm dogs trying to attack chickens. Most of the fences were broken and almost fell apart if you leant on them. As big animal people it was extremely distressing to see the animals in this state… would not recommend anyone to support this business & continue to allow the animals to suffer until there are serious improvements made. Owner also clearly can’t handle any negative feedback and wonders why people don’t want to approach him in person when they notice these issues. Disgraceful

Decided to book the santa experience. Paid 60euro. Messaged beforehand on Facebook to see what was included. Was told we could come sooner to see farm etc.. (See pictures) . Also rang to confirm this. Spoke with a man who confirmed the above and said cafe etc would be open. Arrived at the farm around half 2, in the hopes of being able to walk around the farm, play zone and cafe etc before seeing santa. On arrival a girl came up to the car and said they're not open until 4. I explained that I had been told we could come earlier to visit the farm. She said it's closed to come back from 4 to 7. I had my 2 year old daughter with me. What were we suppose to do for 2 hours.. The whole day was planned and now it was ruined. What business has anyone walking around a farm in the dark? Especially a 2 year old. The girl did refund my money straight away however the day was ruined. 2 days before Xmas everywhere else was booked. Extremely disappointing.

Ok, so this is a review of 2 halves and based more on the enjoyed the kids had and our experiences. After seeing absolute appalling comments on this farm on a local mum's char I decided "feck it, I'll give em a go"... And I wasn't disappointed. The down fall is the headache I have from the kids who haven't stopped about the farm since we got home. Is it manicured and pretty? In areas, no it's not. Is it clean? It's a farm, I don't expect to eat my food off the floor, so yeah, it is. Is there loads of animals? It's not a zoo, so you won't see tigers and stuff like that, hut theirs hundreds of goats, a few wolves, ostriches, a load of birds including big parrots, turtles and the cutest little piglets I ever saw. Sure one or two animals are old, but was the farmer said to me, isn't it better to leave them live their lives rather than cull them bacuse some people on Facebook don't like the look of them. The indoor play area was a hit... But it would be better if it was at the end of the farm rather than the start cause it's almost impossible to get the kids out to go enjoy the farm. The boats on the lake didn't work, I said it to the farmer and wit in 5 mins he replaced the batteries and put credit on it for us. As I said it was quiet so there was no pony ride but the farmer have us spins on a rather old and while tired looking but fun tractor and trailer. Would I go again? Yes... But I don't have a choice anyway cause the kids loved it, they rubbed snakes, a friendly pink parrot, bunnies and kittens and loads other stuff. I get it, you don't like a business but to actually lie about it shameful. Rumelys isn't perfect, but it's a working farm unlike most others, and the kids love it and in my book that's a win... Maybe I'm just old...

A BIG disappointment of a farm, it should be taken care of or at least the animals. All the animals were sad and dirty. There was a donkey in one of the enclosures with a calf, they were both very dirty and very sad, at first we were with the calf giving him some real grass because everything inside was full of poop and there was no edible grass, the calf jumped at us to the food, he seemed very hungry, after a while, the donkey approached to us, very afraid, but when he saw that we were with the calf he the end he let us touch him, he wanted a lot of love but when we touched him, after a while He went straight to the door, stopped there for a few minutes and came back, he has done this more than five times. HE WAS ASKING US TO LEAVE, HELP. I found it exasperating and EXTREMELY SAD because if the poor animal asks you to go out, it's wrong. The price of admission seemed good to me until I saw the condition of the animals. It seems sad, shameful, painful and insurmountable!!!!!! You should not be allowed to have animals in this state. It forces me to rate at least one star, otherwise it won't let me publish, I wouldn't even rate HALF!!!! INDIGNATION is the only...
