What else does one do on a rainy, misty damp afternoon? Visit a local bird reserve at Harpers Island, Glounthaune, Cork and photograph water birds in a dry hide. This place is a fantastic facility. It was quiet and clean. I spent a couple of hours photographing in peace and quiet. If I were any more relaxed I would have been asleep. I recommend a visit even if you a not a birder or photographer.
Even better when you stop at The Island Gate for a cheeky beer afterwards ... 🍻🍺👍
