A small lay-by accommodates half a dozen, carefully parked cars by the entrance to the wood. In March it wasn't a problem but in peak times, it might be so. The first pathway down to the river looks very steep and uneven. A short walk further on the top path offered a second path down. Less steep, but still a doubtful challenge for the less sure-footed. Down by the river is beautiful and only a very short walk to the pool at the foot of the falls. The falls were not very high but the water was thundering down. Totally unspoilt. The top path gives you a bird's eye view and just after the falls the woodland walk stops. Along the top path, little rock crevices with moss and tiny streams of water give a fairy garden appearance. Walking back from the river either of the two paths can be taken, so it's possible to walk a loop. Amazing place.
