One of the most beautiful walks in the region, through a old forest ood Irish Pines. The walk, there and back, is about 2 hours long, walking casually. The Irish Pine forest Is situated on a long sandy spit of land, full of high sand dunes. On the seaward side of the forest walk is a beautiful beach nearly always to yourself, where you can observe hundreds of seals at low tide on the offshore sandy islets near the end of the spit. Also very good for sea birds. On the landward side is a very rich fertile reclaimed land, excellent for the endemic Irish Hare and thousands of birds, particularly in winter, and especially for the Greenland white-fronted geese, the world stronghold for the species. A great walk for those who...

This place has to be the jewel of Wexford town. Small strip of immensely thick flora having a well maintained walking track which leads all the way up to the Curracloe beach. On a sunny day it’s a must to come down here for a good jog or just a leisurely stroll away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. It can get choppy here some times when the waves are a bit high but over all exhilarating experience. You would find a small coffee and ice cream van here at the entrance especially on Sundays. Plenty of car parking space stretched across the place so it won’t be much of a problem but can get very busy during summer. Beach is pristine untouched and plenty of sand and shells to make your...

I came here on a recommendation at work. Knowing my love of trees and beaches he said it would be a magical haven for me and boy was he right. I love nearby Curracloe but wanted somewhere different and Raven Nature Reserve hit the spot. The beach is pristine and immaculate. Sand dune beaches are always a favourite for me. I chilled on the beach for a time had a wee picnic for myself and dipped in the surprisingly (for the 1st of May) warm(ISH) Irish Sea. Then took myself off for a walk in the woods, 7 K total and what a peaceful, serene and picturesque walk it was. I'll be back down that way for sure.

The most beautiful beach I've ever been to. Never knew such a wonderful place was in Ireland. Several signs showing what isnt allowed there and as a result it is also spotless. Visitors respect the beach and it was so clean as a result. It was quite busy even at 6pm when I arrived but the beach is very large so no one was crowding each other.
