Long Acre Alpacas — Attraction in The Municipal District of Ardee

Not long home but we are both so relaxed after a wonderful alpaca trek today. It was so special spending time with the beautiful animals and walking through the area. What made it even more special was the fact that it was me and my daughter in the lovely company of Lorcan and Catherine. Lorcan you are an absolute gentleman who obviously looks after your animals with such care - I hope we will have the pleasure of your company on our next visit. Great value for the experience though I have a feeling that my daughter might just be hopping over the gate to sit with all the friendly animals (particularly the cat - Dougal?????) in relation to negative reviews I read which nearly put me off - it is not “open” it is pre book and so when I called this morning there was no problem once they know we were coming- so happy we found this treasure… thanks Catherine & Lorcan ps highlight is the feeding at the end (I’ll be in...

What a fantastic afternoon out. A gentle walk with our Alpacas, each one a wholly unique personality, but very chilled. A great way to pause, got the reset button, have a great chat and learn lots of stuff you never knew you wanted to know about Alpacas. I've fulfilled a lifelong dream of meeting the real life version of "Lambie", a childhood black nosed sheep cuddly toy. Thank you for the cuddles Chris, that's one off the bucket list. This is a great way to spend a few relaxing hours with the family. Great to take the alpacas out for a walk through a few fields before heading back to their pen to feed them and get a few selfies. Be warned, the alpacas move at their own pace (slowly) and stop LOTS to eat. Still it was great to experience these beautiful animals up close.
