Baravore Car Park — Attraction in The Municipal District of Arklow

Baravore Car Park in situated at the very end of Glenmalure valley in Co. Wicklow. It's is a lovely area to visit, lots of lovely views nice walks both forestry and hillwalking. Great place to get away too for peace and quite. No phone cover no WiFi . An Oige have a hostel here but need to book in advance. Glenmalure Hotel is about three miles away which you probably passed on the way in. Lovely food and drink served here and music at the weekend. Camped here many times near this car park. There's also a hostel if you continue up over the river. Some excellent hikes near by if your up for it, but they can be tuff so be prepared. Back down the road there is a forest road entry for an easier climb. Midgets will devour you if your there as the wrong time. 10 years back two of us climbed the face on the right as you enter the carpark. Parking for about 30 cars at the end of a narrow 5k bumpy road. It's right on a river ford so great place for kids to play and a perfect setting off point for climbing Lugnaquilla via the North ridge or for walking the miners trail.
