Kiltorcan Raceway — Attraction in The Municipal District of Callan — Thomastown

Me, my Dad and two Brothers meant to book a family session this morning for 12:30 but because the website is very unclear we instead booked for 11:45 Without realising. The website says to arrive half an hour early to allow time to be kitted out. I understand we booked the wrong session and that is our fault, however when we arrived at 12:00 we were told we could not reschedule or get a refund we had payed €160 and an hour drive to get nothing in return other than terrible customer service. We were told it stated no refunds and no rescheduling in the terms and conditions we had to sighn to book the session. We proply pointed out there was a problem with the website and you cant read the terms and service befor booking. The manager proceeded to tell us the website is not his responsibility and not his problem my father let him know we would be taking further action the manager was not bothered In the slightest. the website had been reported to the apropiate authorities. Very disappointed in the lack of customer Service however track and carts looked great. I think any company of this size should have a way to reschedule or Cooperate...

This is a lovely facility but sadly our experience was not great. My son's 30 minute session was cut short significantly when the whole race was stopped, the cars shut down and the whole safety briefing redelivered mid race because apparently a couple of drivers were not heeding the yellow flags and slowing down near accidents. This is despite the fact that the cars can be individually controlled by the track crew, according to their own web site. In addition to this, all of the karts frequently had their power limited which made my son nervous as he thought his kart was broken. After driving a 2hr 20min round trip to let my son race a 30 minute session, which he was so excited about, we felt terribly disappointed and rather short changed.

My daughter drove in the next session with more success, although she was put in a junior kart after being made pay for a full sized kart...

Hands down one of the best tracks facilities and staff in Ireland. As an experienced driver I’ve been to many go kart places in Ireland but here everyone was super friendly the clubhouse was super clean spacious and decorated nicely. Now to speak of the track it is smaller than your average outdoor track but very technical and well layed and very well maintained at the time I was with people of varied skill but the marshals mad that very clear in the briefing to be careful of other drivers. The staff where brilliant and very helpful also very nice to chat too especially the young guy in the clubhouse. All in all a great experience and I will be back...
