Lovely day out for small kids. Mine are 3&5 and they enjoyed it. If you have kids who are sensitive to noise I recommend bringing ear defenders as the train is loud. My 2 kept the hands over the ears the whole time. They still liked it though. In the ticket office you can buy little prepacked picnic bags,€4 they had a capri sun, mid sized pk of haribo, snax and a few little chocolates. We didn't get any food at the cafe so I can't speak that but I had a coffee which was decent. If you're looking for something to do with the kids over the summer hols that won't break the bank then I recommend booking it. That being said I live within an hour of here so it's grand but I wouldn't make the trek if I was much further because there isn't really anything else to do except the train ride and a little wooden...

Such a relaxing experience! The staff is super nice and helpful, it can be seen that they love what they do! The whole atmosphere helps you to forget about the everyday rush. The route is lovely and scenic, very relaxing! Excellent way to observe the local wildlife!
The little lovely railway is very well maintained and the staff really knows what they are doing in terms of safety, operations and you know, just giving you a good time.
Their cafe is top notch too! The selection is not very large, but what is there is delicious and fresh! You will surely find something for your taste. Try their toasted sandwiches, just saying... =D They are heavenly.

On the 26/05/22 me and friends went to the Waterford and Suir Valley Railway since we where on holiday in Waterford and I would just to say what a fantastic railway to ride on. The staff where very friendly and welcoming towards me and my friends since we are railway enthusiasts and the scenery is breathtaking when you ride the train back and forth from the cycle path. But hopefully in future it would be good of them to extend it or run to Waterford Greenway near to Deise Greenway Bilberry Car Park for the future. If you are a railway enthusiast or visiting as a tourist from other parts of the world I would recommend this place.
