We live 500 mtrs from Dunmahon Castle, which is on private property, we had an oil painting done of the castle about 35 years ago it hangs in our hall, visitors still admire it, its a view we have from our house, just please remember if you do visit the castle it's very very dangerous when you climb the circular stairs the area above is very small and extremely dangerous if wet.

The castle is down a long soggy pathway but when you get there the castle is in good condition. You cant access its interior but I was able to photograph it from all sides. I enjoyed my visit but its quite easy to miss the gat leading to the castle, parking was across the road from the gate, cheers

We visited at night a few weeks ago. Last time I visited here I gave 5 stars but since the land owners have sealed the castle off with electric fence it means that nobody can have access.

Had few hours free from work and went to see the castle could not find the lane into the castle but the neighbouring barley fields was cut so walked across them. It's overgrown around the castle but got through and entered it and was worth the visit....
