Such a beautiful park, with great walks, a play park for all ages and some amazing wildlife to be seen.

So many different walks to take. You can follow the many paths or walk through woods and go off the main track. Kids love to explore through the trees, following the stream/river, looking at the small waterfalls and walking over the bridges.

Great area for runners, walkers, locals, tourists, picnics, sitting on a bench with a coffee, exploring, splashing in puddles.

There are deer to see, cattle, many birds and even kingfisher have been seen. We’ve seen heron too.

The children’s play park is modern and enclosed. Perfect for letting the kids let of some steam and run riot. It has a zip wire which is a huge hit with kids of every age.

Good, clean toilets are available, which are located right next to the play park. Handy when the kids have a sudden urge!

The park is very well maintained all year round and kept tidy. Rangers are seen regularly.

Obviously, Doneraile House is a big attraction. A lovely, recently restored Georgian house that is open to the public and maintained by the OPW.

Doneraile Park is a must if you are in the North Cork area, or if not, make the effort to...

My experience here was mixed. Mysrlf and my partner arrived 10mins late and there was only one ticket left so we were told wait for the next tour which was at 14:30. After waiting awhile we arrived 5mins early and were told to wait 5mins, which we did. My partner asked for two tickets and she told "no, I'll hand you one and I'll hand him one". This made no sense as the tickets were just for us. We found out the tour didn't start till 15:00 and so, we had to wait another 30mins before the tour started.

The tour itself was good but we were given no time to look at the many history items. Once we were told about their history we were QUICKLEY ushered into the next room. Not once we're we allowed to have a look at any of the items. We were very disappointed with this as we were genuinely interested in the history of the building and the many items.

I would certainly go back again but only if the staff weren't so strict and if we're allowed time to have a look around within...

What an absolutely beautiful park. We’d meant to visit so many times over the years and finally got there. Of the three trails available we chose the medium trail which is 3.5 kilometres long through beautifully maintained paths and tracks. Being Autumn the leaves on the trees were a wonderful pallet of colours. Winding paths, a babbling stream, birds singing and so many moments of peace and quiet. We had a wonderful walk through the grounds and saw dozens of deer. As for the house itself, we didn’t take the tour this time but the place is immaculately well kept. The walled garden was closed unfortunately but a peek through the gates made me think someone had cut the grass with a scissors and a ruler. Beautiful. I hope the pictures do it some justice but I would highly recommend a visit to anyone. Ample parking, easy to navigate. There’s a lovely playground if you have young children and the entire park is...

Love bringing the kids here on a Sunday afternoon. The playground is great and they have great fun on the zip line. There are toilets nearby too in case of emergencies! We also love to go to the tea rooms. Yesterday we got two mochas, a cream scone and two soft drinks for €12 which is good value. There are three colour coded walks with the distance of each clearly marked. The wildlife is beautiful...beech trees, ducks, deer...and a surprise owl! Lovely way to spend quality time with the family.
