This is such a cute mini farm with something for everyone in the family! We did a day trip from Dublin with our 4 year old girls. Everybody had a great time. Highly recommend!!!

We arrived early around 10:45am on a Sunday. It was perfect as there wasn't that many people until we were ready to leave around 2pm.

The whole place is clean, organized, and there's no overwhelming smell like you would expect in a farm. The animals all seem to be very well taken care of. The girls liked seeing and learning about different animals.

There are loads of little bikes and toy tracker things you can ride around in the whole farm. The girls had a ball switching to different things around the farm.

Highlights are below:

  1. Bunny barn: the girls enjoyed the little bench area where they got to pet a bunny in a basket beside them.
  2. Diggers: they absolutely LOVED operating the real thing. We got to go again and again as there wasn't anyone in the queue.
  3. Go cart: the girls are too young for the singles so we did the quads first and settled with the tandems to race. It was quite the workout for my husband and I as the girls wanted to race with each other. Had a blast!
  4. Crazy football: the girls love crazy golf so this was no different. A good level of challenge but not too difficult so they can actually get the ball into the bucket. My husband had fun with this too!
  5. Sandpit: nothing more I need to say. Kids love this kind of things!
  6. Playground: it's right beside the picnic tables. Good size and it has something for all ages.
  7. Fire engine: while it's cool but once you are in, you can't really tell you are in a...

Great fun day for the family It's not just a mini-farm with a few animals locked in pens and not much else, the Kia Ora has much more to offer. There's loads of mini-tractors/go-karts about the place (and space to use them), the animals have ample space and are well looked after, there's an animal petting house with beautiful baby rabbits/chicks (the staff are great and very friendly and offer an animal-feeding opportunity a few times during the day), there's a go-kart track, a clever crazy golf-style football course, a maze, a fire brigade ride (with inbuilt Karaoke), a pair of mini-diggers, play-zones - all this for €7.50 each. I read the reviews about the cafe being basic and the owners explained that that's not what they're advertising, they're a mini-farm - they're not trying to be a Michelin 3-star restaurant. It's not what we came for. We brought a picnic and had drinks with it at the cafe. All in all it filled the day for us and kept the kids happy. Just be careful driving there as the signs are at the actual junctions and it's easy to miss them...

A fantastic place to visit and for a fantastic price too, very COVID safe and lots of space so we felt very safe. We visited today and it was a fantastic, there was lots of staff going around cleaning, disinfecting, picking up rubbish and making sure sinks, paper towels and soap were all filled up and clean! Bathrooms were spotless and seen lots of staff going up and cleaning them all the time. The girls in the coffee shop were very friendly and food is brilliant. The lads and girls in the shed were absolutely brilliant and very friendly, they were all up for a chat and they told us so much about all the animals on the farm. All the animals on the farm large and small look very very well looked after and looked very loved by the staff (clean pens, staff giving them all fresh water/ food all the time and very friendly animals). The rabbit petting area was great and very impressed at how it was done. Lots for people to do young and old. The whole place is very clean. A brilliant day out!! Best Bits was the...

Just a stone’s throw from Gorey, Kia Ora Mini Farm is an amazing petting zoo and activity-packed farm that’s perfect for kids of all ages. There’s a huge variety of animals to see and interact with – from beautiful birds to rabbits, guinea pigs, and more. All the enclosures are spotless and the animals look incredibly well cared for. The layout of the farm is excellent and really easy to get around, with loads of fun activities for children – including go-karts, diggers, a maze, and plenty of open space to explore. There’s also a lovely café where both kids and adults can relax and refuel after all the excitement. The entry fee is very reasonable, especially considering how much is on offer. The staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with – so friendly and welcoming. We even met the owner on the way in, who greeted us with a smile, some jokes, and a great sense of humour, making the visit feel really personal and memorable. All in all, it’s a fantastic spot for a family day out – can’t recommend it highly enough!
