A nicely preserved historical castle in the middle of the village of Liscarrol, Ireland. The gates are locked to access the I side but the view walking around the castle is nice. There is a small town park with picnic benches to enjoy the view and spend some nice quiet time. Free parking but limited. Some historical markers up for reading about its history. Would be 5 stars if we could tour inside

Looks quite impressive from the outside, but gate locked and could not gain entry as a result. Information sign gives history of building.Looks like the OPW are doing conservation work so I'm sure that in the future full access will resume. Parking just outside castle.

Ruins of an old fort/castle. Situated in a small lovely little village with a nice little playground next to it. No entrance allowed but a beautiful little place. Stopped for 15 minutes on a visit to the nearby Donkey Sanctuary.
