Beautiful place to walk. Numerous paths to take. Lots of interesting areas (natural tree falls, bushes etc.,)for energetic children with great imaginations! They will still need a supervising adult though! Some paths a little mucky at this time of year so wear appropriate footwear, trainers with good grips, hiking shoes or/and wellies for the children. A very nice place to get away from city and enjoy the atmosphere there. If you are into walks and plants you are going to love this place. We visited during late may so there were many primroses and bluebells. Didn't see any animals or birds though. There is no cafe there and the parking is open as far as I know but there isn't many people walking there so you almoat always have a place to park. Saw some mushrooms and a lot of Clovers. Absolutely beautiful woodland, perfect for a peaceful walk in nature. Well-marked trails, lots of native trees, and a lovely mix of shaded paths and open clearings. Great spot for families, dog walkers, or anyone looking to unwind outdoors. In spring and summer, the wildflowers are stunning and a lot of wild garlic.
