A fantastic location, loads to see and items of interest. The castle can be accessed its floors and layout can be explored but there are more ruins to see and visit too. Parking is on a narrow road but you will love this location, I certainly did, enjoy

Unfortunately, we could only view the castle from the side of the road as the gate was chained and locked. It's such a shame there isn't a public right of way. Looks amazing.

Cool castle ruins - tough to find from the road. Do NOT follow Google Maps direction up gravel drive, this will lead to a dairy farm where your tiny European car may get stick in mid for hours until pulled out by a kind Irish dairy farmer. Instead, drive just past the gravel road and pull off at a silver cattle gate. Hop this and the red gate behind it. Stay to the right of the electric fence to keep the curious...
