Devil's Glen Wood — Attraction in The Municipal District of Wicklow

Absolutely stunning! Lovely 8k walk if you incorporate both the red and yellow walks....this can be easily done by following the signs and arrows. The red walk leads you to a fantastic waterfall and the Vartry river. There are also some art installations dotted around the forest! The yellow walk also know as “ The Seamus Heaney” walk features benches with some of the Irish poets poems etched in! Really beautiful for walking...

Great 2 hour walk around beautiful scenery in the woods and overlooking the river Vartry ending up at the waterfall. It is well maintained with plenty of car parking areas and so quiet and uncrowded, you can get lost in the trails and tracks but all tracks lead back to the cars. Well worth a visit and there is always the possibility of continuing on to Mount Ussher Gardens a few kilometers up the road.........

Another beautiful spot in Wicklow to refresh and relax. The woods are a calm place to be in. The feeling of one with the nature is here. Climb the steep woods and you feel at your best. It’s quite a walk, but a good walk. There is ample car parking facility by the entrance of the woods and it’s free( that’s what I believe).
