Absolutely stunning! Lovely 8k walk if you incorporate both the red and yellow walks....this can be easily done by following the signs and arrows. The red walk leads you to a fantastic waterfall and the Vartry river. There are also some art installations dotted around the forest! The yellow walk also know as “ The Seamus Heaney” walk features benches with some of the Irish poets poems etched in! Really beautiful for walking and camping.

Another beautiful spot in Wicklow to refresh and relax. The woods are a calm place to be in. The feeling of one with the nature is here. Climb the steep woods and you feel at your best. It’s quite a walk, but a good walk. There is ample car parking facility by the entrance of the woods and it’s free( that’s what I believe). A day out with friends of family, you could choose to walk through Devil’s Glen wood.

Such a fabulous place to vist and a great hike, the views are amazing and breath taking, you meet such lovely people along the walks, little quotes hiding along the walls, would definitely recommend and return, pathways can be very muddy would recommend wellies or a change of clothes picnic tables are located at the car park there also isn't any toilets.

Great 2 hour walk around beautiful scenery in the woods and overlooking the river Vartry ending up at the waterfall. It is well maintained with plenty of car parking areas and so quiet and uncrowded, you can get lost in the trails and tracks but all tracks lead back to the cars. Well worth a visit and there is always the possibility of continuing on to Mount Ussher Gardens a few kilometers up the road.........
